Anyone have any experience with these sites? Or one you'd recommend for printing a 58ish pg book?

Thanks :)

I used blurb to print an 80+ page book for my wife for Mother's Day, and they did a great job. I was very pleased. It was hardback and I was even able to design a dustjacket for it. I would definitely recommend them, in fact I have to several people.

Cool, thanks Pez. It's between them and Lulu, but only because of pricing. Lulu won't send samples I guess so we are just attempting to do a little research before investing in one or the other. :)

Check out Wordclay.com as well. The print quality is good, and the process is incredibly easy. I used to work for the parent company, so I've seen a lot of the behind-the-scenes. Great service for free publishing.

A little more detail about what we are trying to do - the company is just looking to have about 20 or less portfolio/promo books printed out, not necessarily looking to publish or sell anything.

I still think it would work for your needs. In the process of developing the company (Wordclay), I did a lot of research on Lulu and I was not at all impressed. I'm not familiar with the others you listed, but I'd toss out Lulu and check out Wordclay. :)

Though I have no experience first-hand with Wordclay (in fact, never heard of 'em)... checking out their website -- it's clear that they cater to werd-nerds ... ya know, real books with words, ... and not graphic-oriented books.

Hence, this in their FAQ:
Can I have color pictures in my book?
We currently do not offer color printing in the interior of our books. While you can actually place a color photo within your book, it will be printed in black and white. It is best if you can grayscale the image before placing it in the manuscript in order to see what it looks like and make adjustments if needed. If you don't want to bother grayscaling your images, you can leave them in color, but be aware they will be converted to grayscale when printed. The cover of the standard softcover, however, can be in full color

Thus... stick with Blurb...

Unless your company only specializes in greyscale design.

Oh! Sorry...I know the plan was to eventually offer color books, but apparently they're not there yet. :)
